Career Advice to Be Promotable - Anatomy of a Personal Brand Strategy, Part I



personal brand marketing is a solid career management techniques. When you have a job clearly identify your personal brand - or a total collection of perceptions that you want others to have of you -. May not be as simple as jotting down a few notes on the notes

Creating a personal brand strategy, which describes the irresistible, brilliant, you can take some work, but once you have it, you can apply all the pieces that communicate - such as resume, interview comments, on-line media, etc.

Below, I will share with you some of the components I used in the development of its brand marketing statements.

Here are the top five concepts to focus on the short definition of each, and an example taken from my own personal brand of the Library:

  • aim - the outcome of trying to achieve for yourself or for your target audience (eg, to develop a successful, professional women are afraid of competition for advanced leadership positions).
  • The main message - the primary mindset that you want everyone who comes in contact with you to adopt (for example, you can successfully advance your career when you increase your brand visibility in a smart, authentic and consistent manner.)
  • Target audience - who do not want to share the message (eg, professional women of color, ages 30-55, seeking career advancement, career change or starting a business .- up) ** Later on, we can talk about who the ideal client for you within that goal - that there is a difference.
  • Brand Statement -. What do you do and who you work with (for example, I work with professional women looking for color career progression or transition into a solo job to show them how to develop a brand strategy for your career that connects them with their target audiences and key influencers.)
  • unique position - what makes you different from anyone else who does it (eg My strategy is based on a 60/40 combination of proven techniques of career guidance and on-line brand expertise. I am also a powerhouse brand network of resources to help my clients implement the plan after it is put to paper .)
